Archives and collections are recurring elements of Sophie Dvoráks artistic work and constituted the starting point for her exhibition at Bildraum07 entitled “The unlikely collision of generally uncoordinated vectors”. Dealing with capturing and the subsequently interpretion of spaces, Dvořák examines processes, traces and structures. The artists collection of found objects from a finnish uninhabitet island deals with formal similarities and spatio-temporal collisions, in order to reflect on the interlocking of time, aging and change processes, events, traces and history. Fragile plaster relief objects and drawings are presented in dialogue with the found objects.
